Love's Grip
I have been going through a rough period lately and today decided to put work on hold and create something from the heart, from my head, from the soul...It has been a while since I created something like this. I got a wacom tablet and it almost feels like drawing naturally. Needless to say, I think I found a new love ;)

New NIN - GHOSTS I-IV

Ochestrate a New Color Scheme
I had a blast designing the new poster for the next Stainless Steele and DJ Image show. I decided to share the love and have the fans vote for the color scheme. I was inspired by mixed media artists and was going for a screen printed raw look. Now if I only new how to screen print on paper, I'd be a happy man. Let the voting begin!

Rumschpringe Very Short Film Festival
Recently I had the opportunity to work on a music video project for local hip hop artists Stainless Steele and DJ Image. As some of you may know I have done various print design work for them including illustrations, show posters, photography and other projects. Derek Lau of Aidem Media Solutions approached me with the idea of creating a music video for Stainless and Image months before and we both were excited about creating something to match their progressive musical style. In other words, way outside the box. To top it off a local business man created a film festival for both local and nationwide artists to submit work to. The opportunity was perfect.
On December 29th 2007, Derek Lau and his film crew of Seth Hoffman, Dave Cornman and Muhammed Abdul-Karim filmed Stainless and Image as they performed a 7 song set at the Chameleon Club here in Lancaster, PA. The crew hooked into the sound system, had 3 cameras rolling and got some really nice footage we could work with. After Derek compiled the footage and did some minor editing, we had something to work with. Stainless and Image decided to go with the song " Strings "
Derek and myself worked on the video for around a week straight. The fact was by the time we got started, the entire video was due in a week, we had to go full force into this project to get it done on time. After many, many cups of Sheetz coffee and countless hours of starring into the computer screen we wrapped it up in just enough time.
For me personally collaborating with another artist is always a very inspirational process. To work with video and to watch my graphics move on screen to music was tons of fun. It was something new and fresh and Derek is a real pro at what he does. Hats off to Derek and his crew for shooting great footage, editing and creating some amazing effects. Stainless and DJ Image for always providing never ending inspiration with their music.
As a result we are finalists in the film fest! If you would like to attend the viewing please click here. The viewing is this Sunday 2/24/08 at 7pm at the Penn Cinema Theater in Lititz, PA. Tickets are limited!!!
